About him[]
Bernard Arnold "Barney" Gumble is the Springfield town drunk and Homer Simpson's best friend, though to a lesser extent after high school. Being a frequent customer at Moe's, Barney considers Moe to be his second-best friend; however, he is often abused in the process, mainly due to Moe's personality. Barney was formerly an A-student back at Springfield High but lost it all due to his drinking alcohol and is since then seen as a disgrace by his whole family, none of whom drinks. He has brown messy hair, light orange T-shirt, blue pants and grey-blue shoes.
In the games[]
In Homer and Marge's game, he was seen laying his head on the table bar with a beer in his right hand. When Moe touches him, he falls down with his face looking up.

- In Homer, Grandpa and Marge's games, he was seen the same as in the series.
- When he was dead, he expended his hands and feet, as well as having his tongue out and having X's on his eyes. Also, his shirt didn't have a V-cut but was like a normal round cut.
- He came back in Marge Saw Game and Grandpa Simpson Saw Game/Grandpa Brickson Jig Trap, where Grandpa calls the waitress to give him a beer and he leaves the machine.
