About him[]

Obsessed from a young age with Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, Jervis Tetch, a skilled research scientist, embraced a delusion that he was the incarnation of a character in the story, the Mad Hatter. Using his hypnotic skills for mesmerism, Tetch as the Mad Hatter has ommitted many crimes, often themed around the book that inspired him and his love of hats and headgear, going so far as to plant his hats, ranging from pith helmets to bowlers, with mind control chips to amplify his hypnosis skills. Above all other headwear, he covets Batman's distinctive cowl and will stop at nothing to acquire it.

In the game[]

In Batman's Saw Game, when Batman tries to take a skateboard in his room, a hat will come down will trap him inside, revealing it to be Mad Hatter's trick. To prevent it, Batman must put a pole next to the skateboard. Mad Hatter then comes down and will push a button which reveals a trapdoor underneath Batman that causes him to fall down in it. Batman must prevent him doing so by putting some glue on where he would land. The door next to Bane's room is locked after Batman grabs the skateboard, and Batman must enter the passcode through the keyboard. But before doing so, Mad Hatter will attempt to spray Batman with knock out gas, in which he must counter by using the Batfan on him.
